About the Programmer
Lucia Fabio is an independent curator living in Los Angeles. She has an MA from the University of Southern California in the Art and Curatorial Practices in the Public Sphere program and a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She ran mini dutch, an apartment gallery in Chicago, which showed works in progress and site-specific installations. She has continued to invite artists into her home by creating The Homer Project, a domestic exhibition space in her 1910 bungalow where installations focus on a particular aspect of the property and are displayed for an extended period of time. The first exhibition was Fleurette West: Master Bathroom, and artist Justin Lowman’s two-year Windows project. Fabio presented Crickets (2017), a solo exhibition of works by Aitor Lajarin at Heritage Square Museum, and has contributed to Suzanne Lacy’s retrospective exhibition catalogue, We Are Here. Fabio is working on a retrospective of Alison Knowles, the last living core member of Fluxus, that will tour the United States and Europe.
